Below are just some of the colleges I've worked with. For details of other colleges or contact details of Principals who were in post at the time just get in touch.
Central Bedfordshire College
The replacement marketing strategy, digital-first approach and website improvement jointly increased applications by 45 per cent.
The college’s data shows the quality of the intake improved, as requested, as the result of audience targeting which ensured the college was promoted to highly-motivated potential students and with a reduced reliance on the late summer campaign to make up the numbers.
The college's turnover increased from £10.5m to £15m.
Lewisham Southwark College
The college was going through a difficult period, having received two successive Grade 4s following a merger.
The in-year application count was down by around 30 per cent on the previous year. There were three months to close this gap.
Two approaches were taken. First, improved advertising, which quickly increased the application rate. Second, replacement of the website, which succeeded in closing the remainder of this gap. The college's numbers finished on target.
Sussex Coast College
The college, in Hastings, was undergoing a swift programme of improvement and the Principal required an uplift in the application rate of around 8 per cent to hit target.
This was achieved through digital career-based campaigns, some minor alterations to the website and some wider consultancy support.
Lambeth College
Lambeth was more than 20 per cent down at the time I was brought in and the approach left the college slightly up on the previous year by the end of September.
The college had previously used another external supplier to run its digital advertising. I replaced that function with a new in-house digital approach during the critical period and proposed a replacement marketing strategy.
City College Birmingham
The college was 10 per cent down on 16-18 numbers based on the same date the previous year and I was engaged in the August to illuminate this gap for the forthcoming September intake – allowing for some late recruitment.
The gap was closed entirely and the approach was maintained, ensuring the uplift in applications was carried forward the following year.
